Yes, we currently have purebred pedigreed Maine Coon kittens available. Available kittens will be listed on our 'Available Kittens' Page for adoption.
We perform the following on all of our breeding cats regularly. Many tests are required more than once in the cat's lifetime.
Yes, all of our kittens come fully vaccinated including FelV and breeding cats are up to date on their specialized vaccinations for breeding.
Yes, we do offer breeding rights, but only for select kittens. Breeding-quality kittens are the highest caliber from each litter, and not every litter will produce kittens that meet these strict standards. Our selection process is incredibly exclusive, prioritizing the most desired attributes in each kitten.
Breeding cats are priced higher than pet kittens due to the additional care and testing required. Our breeding kittens stay with us until they are 10 months old, during which they undergo thorough veterinary exams and testing to ensure they meet all breeding standards.
We only work with ethical breeders who follow all standard breeding guidelines. The approval process for purchasing a breeding kitten is much more detailed than simply buying a pet. We require references from your veterinarian, proof of standard testing on other cats in your cattery, as well as pictures and videos of your cattery setup. At de Empurr'Dune, our cats have full run of the house, except for necessary separation between males and females, and we expect similarly high standards of care from any potential breeding partner.
Maine Coons are known for their impressive size. On average, males weigh between 13-18 pounds, while females typically range from 8-12 pounds. However, some individuals may be even larger! My boys run 20-25+ pounds fully grown and my girls are around 15-20 pounds.
Maine Coon cats are one of the largest domesticated cat breeds, known for their distinctive tufted ears, bushy tails, and friendly personalities. They are often referred to as Gentle Giants and truly embody that name!
If you’re allergic to cats, getting a Maine Coon kitten might not be the best idea. Even though they don’t shed a lot, they can still cause a reaction.
Our cattery boasts a wide array of colors, one of the most diverse you’ll find. This diversity allows us to create pairings that result in kittens with not only vibrant and varied colors, but also exceptional health and delightful personalities!

Absolutely! If your kitten loves outdoor adventures as much as ours! We do require they must be either on a leash or in a safe outdoor enclosure. Maine Coons are great when it comes to leash training. We don't recommend they go outside until they are at least 6 months old to ensure that they have a healthy strong immune system!

Do you sell or have retired breeding cats?
Yes, we occasionally offer retired breeding cats for sale. These cats have been a valuable part of our breeding program and are ready to transition into loving pet homes. All retired breeding cats are spayed or neutered before leaving our cattery, and they undergo a full veterinary health check to ensure they are in excellent condition.
Since they are already well-socialized and accustomed to living in a family environment, our retired breeders make wonderful companions. Availability is limited, so if you're interested, feel free to reach out to inquire about upcoming retirements.
